Kaela Reser Memorial Scholarship recipients

Theresa Campbell and Casey Nelson, graduates from Condon High School, are both recipients of the Kaela Reser Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship is presented annually to a Gilliam County High School graduate to assist in pursuing higher education.

Theresa Campbell has been a Gilliam County 4-H member for 9 years and during her many years in 4-H, Theresa has participated in several 4-H clubs including Beef, Leathercraft, Photography, and Ambassadors. After graduation, Theresa plans to attend Washington State in the fall to pursue a future career as a large animal veterinarian, after which she hopes to return somewhere close to the community to work at a clinic to inspire younger generations. We wish you all the best in your future.

Casey Nelson completed his final year of 4-H this year, during which his projects included Sheep, Swine, Poultry, and Ambassadors. Casey will attend the University of Idaho in the fall to study Ag business and Diesel Mechanics. After receiving his degree Casey plans to come back to the county in hopes of continuing the family farm business. Good luck Casey!

Kaela Reser Memorial Scholarship was established in honor of Kaela Reser by her parents, Olin and Mary, and her brother, Bob Reser. Kaela was an avid 4-H Member and an active youth in Condon and its surrounding communities. The scholarship is open to all Gilliam County 4-H graduating seniors who plan to attend a community college, vocation-technical school, or a four-year college or university to earn a college degree or license.
