ACHC's Spray Clinic grand re-opening and ribbon cutting a huge success

SPRAY, OR - Tuesday, February 27th, saw the community of Spray along with many Wheeler County residents, local patients, and state dignitaries come together with clinic staff in celebration of the newest addition to Asher CHC's area services - the newly expanded Spray Clinic facility on Pine Street complete with medical and now including dental capacity.

The event began at 11:00am at the Spray Community Grange across the street from the clinic where light refreshments were served along with detailed project descriptions. Community appreciation remarks were presented by Asher CEO, Albert Pacheco; Asher Board of Directors President, Linda Donnelly; and Asher Dental Provider, Dr. Andrew Pham. The event was well attended with about 50 people joining in the celebration.

A ribbon cutting ceremony immediately followed the refreshments in front of the newly remodeled Pine Street clinic. The ribbon was officially cut by both Albert Pacheco and Dr. Pham, with an ever so appropriate pair of medical scissors. Posing for the ceremonial photo were: [(from left to right) Linda Donnelly, ACHC Board President; Albert Pacheco, ACHC CEO; Mitch Elliott, ACHC Board Treasurer; Toney Ryno, ACHC Board Vice-President; Dr. Andrew Pham, ACHC Dentist; Aurelia Johnson, ACHC Board Member; and Arcadius St. Laurent, Spray City Mayor.]

A complete tour of the new facility was available immediately following the ribbon cutting ceremony. Nearly all who attended the refreshments portion of the event took time to tour the facility and more people filtered in as the event continued, making complete attendance closer to 75 as the day progressed.

Many attendees were very impressed with the beautifully laid out building, complete with its iconic photographic imagery of the annual Spray Rodeo to make all who enter the doors feel as welcome and at home as possible. Boasting two medical exam rooms, one complete care dental exam room, separate laboratory and sterilization facilities for both medical and dental services, a provider office, large break room, and two fully ADA accessible bathrooms, the Spray Clinic proves to have everything needed to accommodate the level of patient care expected within its walls.

In attendance were legislative guests and representatives including Governor Kotek's representative, Nate Stice; State Representative Greg Smith's wife, Sherri Smith; and City of Spray Mayor, Arcadius St. Laurent.

Asher CHC would like to sincerely thank everyone who took time out of their busy schedules to attend the celebration and see the new facility. This facility was made possible by generous donations from: Bureau of Primary Health Care, M.J. Mur-dock Charitable Trust, The Ford Family Foundation, Roundhouse Foundation, Harry A Merlo Foundation, Norm Anderson, Potato Pioneers Fund, and Oregon Community Foundation.

The Spray Clinic will be opening for services soon. Please call the Fossil clinic for scheduling: 541-763-2725.
