OBITUARY: Roberta "Bobie" Ainardi

Bobie Ainardi, 90, of Arlington, passed away January 10, 2024 at home surrounded by loved ones. She was born on May 27, 1933 in Kansas City, MO.

She was #5 of 15 kids. They came to the Northwest in a 1929 Whippet, 7 kids, mom, dad, aunt and uncle. She loved to camp and fish. Her 90th birthday was a camping trip to the ocean where all of her surviving siblings were able to attend. She also did a lot of crafting. She really enjoyed entering things in the Gilliam County Fair.

She was an incredibly fun loving and adventurous person. Always ready for a new adventure. She was also a very loving, giving person who taught her family about family values. She was always taking care of people. When her children were grown, she went back to school to become an Occupational Therapy Assistant, then went to work in a retirement/assisted living home caring for the elderly. She did the baking for the Arlington Senior Meals. When she was unable to that any longer, she did the paperwork up until 3 weeks before her death.

She is survived by six of her siblings, her children: Jodie Gentry (Bobby), Lori Smith (Bodean), Dean Carney (Edna) and Cheryl Seagraves. Her stepchildren Tony Ainardi, Teresa Ainardi, Todd Ainardi and Tim Ainardi (Kristina), 25 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild.

Instead of a formal service, there will be an ice cream social at the Senior Meal Site in Arlington at 2:00 pm.

There will also being Celebration of Life for her at the Walla Walla Valley Cowboy Church, 8136 Old Hwy 12, Walla Walla, WA for anyone that would like to attend.
