Dorothy "Dodie" Joan Shaffer of Condon Oregon, passed away on Thursday, July 18th, 2024, at the age of 83. Dorothy was born in Condon Oregon on May 24th, 1941, to Fred J. and Donalda (Maley) Reed. She attended Condon High School and married the love of her life, Donald Frank Shaffer on February 21st, 1957, in Goldendale Washington. Dorothy loved baseball, the beach, bingo, ceramics and craft painting, decorating, shopping, and traveling with Don on business trips.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Shaffer, who passed away on March 12th, 2001, her sister Carol Reed, and her beloved Yorky dog Littlebit.
Dorothy is survived by her children: son Steve and his wife Rhonda Shaffer; daughter Terri and her husband Stan Carnine; son Brian and his wife Trudi Shaffer; and son Mike Shaffer. Her grandchildren: Brad Carnine, Travis Carnine, Stephanie Shaffer, Todd Shaffer, Randy Carnine, Breanna Shaffer, Tyler Shaffer. 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Her siblings: Kay Rene Qualls, DeeAnn Shafer, and Bobby Reed.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Dorothy on Saturday, September 14th, 2024, from 2pm-5pm at the Condon Elks Lodge, 117 S. Main St. Condon, Oregon 97823.
